The better-breakfast brand begins looking to develop the Midwest with its sights set on Columbus
North Carolina-based Famous Toastery has its eyes on Columbus, Ohio for its next wave of expansion. The scratch-kitchen, better-breakfast franchise is looking to add three to five locations in the area by the end of 2019. The brand has already seen tremendous growth this year with new locations opening in previously untapped markets including Colorado and Pennsylvania. The brand is on pace to add 30 more locations across the country in the next 18 months.
Famous Toastery tends to locate in markets that offer its franchise owners a chance to become staple restaurants in the areas they serve. CEO Robert Maynard believes Columbus fits the ideal marketplace vision for the better-breakfast business opportunity due to its demographics and small business-friendly atmosphere.
“We seek out communities that are family friendly while offering an opportunity for success for small business ownership,” said Maynard. “Columbus is a business-friendly city and we believe that our franchise owners would find success in a place that thrives off its residents visiting locally owned and operated small businesses.”
The brand is also looking to expand into places like Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky, which offer similar landscapes of success for Famous Toastery. However, Columbus is the first territory that the brand is seeking for growth in the idwest.
“The Midwestern region is a place that could lead to fast and tremendous growth for our company once we touch ground,” said Maynard. “Several cities in the midwest have experienced restaurantuers and potential investors that we are confident would make perfect franchise owners for our brand.”
Expanding into the Midwest would also give Famous Toastery the opportunity to establish itself in the better-breakfast industry as a leading competitor with a proven track record of successful franchisee. The brand would offer a fresh concept to the region through its specialty menu items, lively atmosphere and attentive staff members.
“There isn’t another restaurant concept out there that’s offering customers meals that are made in-house daily at an affordable price,” said Maynard on why the brand sets itself apart from other breakfast brands. “In the Midwest, brunch is used as a popular opportunity for social gatherings and a chance to enjoy a good meal, and Famous Toastery would offer both to Columbus residents through our made-from-scratch menu items and comfortable environment.”
Famous Toastery now has more than 20 locations open, with an additional 20 already in the pipeline. As the brand continues to sign franchisees in new states, there’s no chance the brand will be slowing down anytime soon.
